I recently stayed at a charming house in Newton Stewart called Hillcrest. The hosts, Andrew and Deb, were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The guest sitting room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. My room, Solway, had stunning views of the sea and hills beyond. The bed was comfy, the shower was hot, and the water flow was good. The whole house has been tastefully decorated to retain its historic charm. The breakfasts served were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend Hillcrest House and would definitely stay there again.
